IPM has made the third investment under its IPM Growth initiative in SEC Technologies, a Slovakia-based technology company developing a unique mobile laser detection solution for the identification and measurement of chemical warfare agents (“CWA”), biological warfare agents (“BWA”) and toxic industrial chemicals, with high sensitivity at large distances. SEC Technologies is the only company that has developed a working battle-field proven active mobile detector for CWAs and BWAs.
SEC Technologies is one of Slovakia’s most groundbreaking technology companies shaping the future of the security and defense industries. SEC currently manufactures the most advanced chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (“CBRN”) stand-off devices that can detect, identify and quantify chemical gases at a distance and without the need for physical contact.
SEC has its roots in the military research institutes of Slovakia and their products have been successfully utilised by NATO. The company pursues a long-term partnership with its customers, tailoring its products to customers’ specific needs. Furthermore, the company’s existing expertise in this sector allows it to provide training, maintenance and consulting services related to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear mobile detection. SEC technologies’ existing customers include well known defence industry players across Europe and the Middle East.
Being able to provide safe, fast and reliable detection of various threats at a distance would greatly improve security services’ ability to protect from security risks around the world. IPM Growth’s investment in SEC Technologies’ is founded on the belief that their solution has the potential to disrupt the global security market to become the leader in making the world a safer place, consistent with IPM Growth’s strategy of supporting technology leaders in the Central and Eastern European region that have the potential for global growth.
