IPM, in cooperation with GLOBSEC, held a special side-event alongside the GLOBSEC 2017 Bratislava Forum on 26th May 2017 in Bratislava, Slovakia.
The event focused on introducing the IPM Growth, a ‘first of its kind’ growth equity strategy for the CEE region, aiming to address the scarcity of venture capital for innovative and disruptive regional technology companies with global ambitions.
Opening remarks were given by Vazil Hudák, Vice-President of the European Investment Bank and Robert Vass, President of GLOBSEC. IPM then presented a number of its available investment opportunities in the energy, transport, IT and security technology sectors within the framework of the IPM Growth.
This joint side-event enabled IPM to showcase the IPM Growth as a tangible platform for this underserved and opportunistic investment market, linking up financiers and representatives of said sector leaders looking to further develop and commercialise their unique technologies.
The event resonated among its participants with speakers receiving positive feedback on their presentations. With IPM and GLOBSEC’s cooperation having proved very successful in this instance, both organisations are now preparing for their future collaboration: the GLOBSEC Tatra Summit, a prominent annual conference to be held in October 2017 in the High Tatras, and addressing Europe’s most pressing political, economic and financial issues.
