Bongjoon Chang

Bongjoon Chang joined IPM in 2022. He is based in Seoul, Korea.
Bongjoon is considered one of Korea’s top professionals in alternative investments, capital markets, project finance, and M&A, with his primary sector focus on power, energy, and infrastructure. With 20 years of experience, he has led the local market in outbound investments, advising and arranging for the financing of conventional and renewable energy and environmental plants. Bongjoon specializes in both outbound and inbound infrastructure investments, including the development and financing of power plants. Prior to joining IPM, Bongjoon, as the director at Samchully Asset Management, managed Samchully Renewable Fund-2 (Australia solar PV) and advised the Vietnam Solar PV and Fuel Cell, LNG combined heat and power plant projects. He also worked as an IPP(Independent Power Provider) Player at Taekwang Power, where he raised the development capital from the global financial market for Southeast Asia projects in Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia. He also worked as an investment banker at KDB Daewoo, Miraeasset securities for over ten years, developing his specialties in power, energy, and infrastructure sectors and financial institutions.  Bongjoon holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Korea University.
