Sangyun Hwang

Sangyun has more than 20 years of experience in real estate investment and management. He has experience as head of the investment management division of Kalon Investment, the investment management division of Korea Asset Investment & Securities, hedge funds, and real estate management team leader of IBK(Industrial Bank of Korea) Asset Management.  After joining IPM in 2022, Sangyun has since taken charge of executive management, including office building development, housing development, golf course development, and sales strategy, as the head of IPMAM’s Real Estate Division.
Sangyun’s main achievements include:
– Development and operation of the West Gate Tower in Migeun-dong (about $110 million)
– Development and operation of the Myeong-dong L7 Hotel (about $80 million)
– Operation of the Jeju Coupang Logistics Center fund ($40 million)
Sangyun holds a bachelor’s degree in the department of urban planning and real estate from Chung-Ang University and completed a master’s degree in real estate at Hanyang University. He also holds a certificate in investment asset management.
